There are thousands of logos across the world that are of course related to the food industry and believe it or not it is some of these logos that have helped to pus the companies in involved to the top of what they do.

I decided that the most part of this would not be spent writing about ones that people would expect to see which is why I started with this one. Chips Ahoy are a huge brand of cookies made by Nabisco and of course are well known in the USA more than anywhere else. (more…)

Oil aside, coffee is the most highly traded commodity in the world. The global demand for it stretches from coffee houses in Sydney, to cafe’s in Italy, to street stalls in Vietnam.

So many people think that cooking is not a great skill to have but in all truth it is and it is worth learning. If people are telling you that it is a pointless skill to have then the chances are that these people couldn’t even put a bit of bread in a toaster without burning it, let alone cook a dinner for 4 or more.

Cake- Of The Bloodied Pig Variety
This is the ice-cream of Taiwan and is something that many people enjoy to eat across the area. This can be found all over the place but mostly in the markets, it is made from pig’s blood (of course) and rice. (more…)

The results are in with Fresh weeks over for another year and the new student have drunk their way through over 1 million pints, 5 million slices of pizza and 840,000 kebabs.
Fresher’s Week is a notorious for new students to party hard and to let themselves go with no hassle from their parents. According to UCAS, 419,627 applicants had a place confirmed at Uni this year, an increase of 44,523 on last year. (more…)

Vanilla, a common flavour in everything from ice cream to cakes and perfume is derived from an orchids pod that seems completely inedible when still left on the plant? It has to be cured to divulge its famous aroma; a truth which might have remained undiscovered if it hadn’t been for the Totonacos.
When scooping down vanilla ice-cream or preparing vanilla custard for your blueberry pie, you should send a thought of gratitude to the Totonaco people; the pre-columbian inhabitants of what is today the Vera Cruz region of Mexico. (more…)

One of the fun things about cupcakes is that they can be varied endlessly buy using different fillings, frostings and decorations. One of my personal favourites for special occasions is to use tropical flowers on my cupcakes to give them that extra pizzazz. Using tropical flowers on your cupcakes always brightens up any day and is ideal for birthday celebrations and other special events. (more…)
