The results are in with Fresh weeks over for another year and the new student have drunk their way through over 1 million pints, 5 million slices of pizza and 840,000 kebabs.
Fresher’s Week is a notorious for new students to party hard and to let themselves go with no hassle from their parents. According to UCAS, 419,627 applicants had a place confirmed at Uni this year, an increase of 44,523 on last year. (more…)

Vanilla, a common flavour in everything from ice cream to cakes and perfume is derived from an orchids pod that seems completely inedible when still left on the plant? It has to be cured to divulge its famous aroma; a truth which might have remained undiscovered if it hadn’t been for the Totonacos.
